Here is the tutorial from Blueprint magazine on making button rings. And in other news, I got a batch of 20 ring blanks off ebay for tuesday!

Also, if you look at the examples I posted, some of them use elastic as the ring base. Maybe an option if sodering or gluing isn’t your thing.

Tutorial: Zippered pouch

I have looked at lots of zippered pouch tutorials and this is the best I have seen by far. I have seen this technique, but I could never get the fabric to zipper ratio quite right. This tutorial really helped me visualize what size the fabric should be in relation to the zipper – which is so helpful when you are winging it most of the time! Great pictures, clear and easy instructions.
