Applications are up! The Scissor Scouts should consider a table? It’s in mid-September in Chicago…

Otherwise, I seriously think we should do one before the holidays…maybe call it the Queen City Craft Fair…Craft Queen City Craft Fair…something. I’m not sure.

Some questions…

So I am filling out the registration form for the parade. Are we any of these categories: Best Irish Family, Best Irish Pet Float, Musical Entry, Youth Group, or Other? Those are for the prizes, I guess.

They also want to know “type of group” and a description of the entry. I don’t even know where to begin. I want to fax this over today or tomorrow, so I need input ASAP!

Bad News, Scouts

I have ZERO employees available to work on Saturday 3/17. I’m slightly disgruntled at the moment.

Sash’ed

Nicole and I went out today to get the sash fabric. We wound up finding some $1.99/yard charcoal gray at the Calico Corner. It is a little drapey-er than we would have preferred, but I think it will be fine with some interfacing and the backing material. The second place finisher was a really lovely wool, but at $13/yard, it just couldn’t be done.

Nicole will bring the fabric and I will make up a muslin for the sash that we can use as a pattern. We got four yards so I think we will have enough to spare.

On the agenda for Sarah’s house: St. Patrick’s Day Parade. I think we should totally do it!

So… what, where, when?

I think it is Anna’s turn to host, so that leaves what and when.

And what does everyone think of Scissor Scouts? Sashes, badges, beanies and jumpers?

Freezer Paper and Such

Rumor has it, our next project involves freezer paper and stenciling.

Does anyone have any good suggestions on the best material / objects to stencil on, or where to find some interesting images?

Just checking.

Also, remember those corduroy pants that lost a button? Genius idea of the month? Use a 1″ button that we made earlier this winter!

Mid-January Meetup

Stupid me! The book club is on January 23 after all. Would 1/16 work out for everyone? Sorry for being a pain.

Also, I know it’s not necessarily crafty, but OTC offers belly dancing classes. I’ve always been interested. Any takers?
